Virgin Unite SA Connect Trip
Virgin Unite came to South Africa as part of Richard Branson's B Team, and Hack Films documented the visit. I shot and edited alongside their crew, following the delegates around Johannesburg for the length of the trip.

Challenge & solution
Travelling coverage is relentless. You’re moving with a delegation all day, you can’t stop them to get a second take, and the film has to come out of what happened rather than what you planned. So you shoot for the cut constantly — grabbing the arrival, the room, the faces listening, the detail that will let you leave a scene cleanly — because those are the shots that don’t exist unless you take them in the moment.
I shot and edited this with the Hack Films crew. Several cameras following the same trip means the edit starts as a sorting problem before it becomes a storytelling one, and the story here was the trip itself: where they went, who they met, what they were actually there to do.
