Blood Honey, Nocturnes
Blood Honey is a South African alternative rock band, fronted by Cito from Wonderboom. Directed by Bradley Devine, shot by Gavin Pincus, both good friends of mine. I edited it, and I did the compositing.

Challenge & solution
It’s an alternate, vampire-like Johannesburg. The character is hunting a woman who feels as if she’s from the past. He reads as something supernatural. The cut had to work as a story and still hit the song’s beats, at the song’s intensity. Overlay editing, quick cuts, and in-camera effects the production team had already put in the can all had to live in the same film.
The standout composite is Cito flying and falling through the centre of Ponte Tower. The fall was the hardest thing on it. This was a passion project, and it’s one of my favourite pieces I’ve ever made.
The discipline
This one came through music videos. Concept to delivery for labels and independent artists.
